  • 1.  Task in use by another user

    Sage100v 2017....with one user I try to open General Ledger options while another user has Customer Maintenance Options..and i get the Task in use message...can only view the screen.... I know this....

    I log in with another user in the same workstation...open the Customer Maintenance...and it will let me open the General Ledger options and do modifications to the fields....

    ANY CLUE WHY?????

    Any chance that when you switch users, the company changes? Sage remembers what company code the user was logged into last and will change it when you change users. That is the only thing I can think of that makes any sense.

    9 times out of 10, when I see that, I had accidentally launched the task twice.  It happens less now that nearly everyone is on the version where we click once.

    I check Master Console for other programs running... and possibly the server for open pvxwin32 sessions running in MAS90 mode (which won't show in Master Console, but will lock tables / tasks).
