    They failed to mention in the article that in 4+ year they will may very well be on another unsupported software platform. Not to mention that SAGE %00 is written in VB 6 which was retire over 5 years ago. .....

    I think that's what Mark is implying -- yikes. I still don't know how anyone sells Sage 500 in good conscience.

    And considering SWK would sell X3 to a pizzeria, I'm really surprised they didn't go that route. I could sort of understand if they were just a 100/500 VAR or something

    There could be some other factors like a CFO who had worked with MAS 500 previously or maybe there was some unique functionality required. Still I don't get how you sell 500 without getting customer sign off that it has been pre-announced as being on the endangered species list.
