  • 1.  SY_Menu.M4T error upgrading 4.50.8 to 2018.05

    Getting an error (tried 3 times, always same failure) migrating from 4.50.8 to 2018.05.  Anyone seen this or have an idea about the cure?  The 4.50 installation runs fine and has it's menus intact.

    You may need to do an intermediate upgrade to 2016 first.

    Thanks.  That did it.
    And  a big anti-thank you to Sage for all the extra bloat since 4.50, and for the migration resilience that have built in - had to reinstall 2018 because it got hosed by the failed migration.

    I'm in the habit of making a folder copy of MAS90 (and MAS_System backup with Premium) when running a migration because I have been burned too many times with having to reinstall after an error.

    I am with @Kevin Moyes - Been making copies of the MAS 90 folder after installing all PU's and enhancements and before the initial migration.  Takes an extra five minutes and can save hours when disaster strikes.

    4.50.8 to 2018.05 (or .06 for that matter) is still acceptable correct?  Sage was telling Nina otherwise.
