Sage 100

When an item has an Extended Description, as soon as you select that item the Item Text Maintenance dialog pops-up.  Is there a way to suppress this automated pop-up?  If someone wants to edit the description they can click the button.

Are you talking about in the SO entry window?  If you have the description in the sub grid, it doesn't pop up.

Where?  If it's for Sales Order and Purchase Order Entry, there's an Inventory Security Event in Role Maintenance for "Allow Automatic Display of Full Extended Item Description When Not in a Grid."  Turn it off and place Item Description in the secondary grid.

The way i used to do this for Item Inquiry/Maintenance is by using customizer on the DMAIN panel and modify the tab stops by removing the ItemCodeDesc field from the list.
