Summit Exhibitors Domo has the same size booth as Website Pipeline and MasterCard according to the floor layout. Is anyone using Domo?

    Probably Sage

Why would anyone in our space use Domo?

I've been asleep at the switch. I haven't heard of this before, but the premise on their website is interesting. Why do you think this is inappropriate for most of the Sage community (after the Sage connectors are released)? http://bit.ly/1K67KXA

I would like to get a clear answer to that, too, Moira. Am I correct to conclude that Domo uses api's modeled on the ForceOne platform integrations?

From the little bit of research I did last year, the majority of Domo's clients were large enterprise. Did you know it is the world's ""First business management platform"" I am amazed that no one thought you could use software to manage a business before!

I'm sorry that last bit Jerry, came through like the adult voices on Peanuts.

It's pretty clear from Domo.com that it is focused on larger firms now. But I'm struck by the connectors that seem all over the place, size-wise. I suspect that domo might be seeign that it can make more progress faster through guerrilla action into firms, going around Guardians of SAP/Oracle/etc. If so, then it would benefit by opening up to larger Sage 100-size firms. The domo.com website is also clear NOT aimed at IT. I could not find any indication about the technology it uses for its secret sauce, the connectors. Nor indications whether 3rd parties could create one-off connector.

We have enough difficulty getting clients to really use SI. Why does anyone think they would accept Domo?

I'm with you. I think this requires a mind shift among customers. Domo demos can help open eyes along the way.

I tried contacting Domo three times for a prospect last year. Never got a call back. I also tried contacting them to participate in 90 Minds as a Vendor Member. Again - no response. Someone must be funding them...

Good thought. I just checked their website. $450m funding, of which $200M closed 4/8/15, for $2B valuation. Also this, from 4/8/15: ""In stealth mode since it started in 2010, Domo today took the covers off its highly anticipated cloud-based business management platform. Domo is the first software company to bring together in one platform all the technical components required for business users to get meaningful value from business data."" It sounds like the company will be more aggressive than last year.

I just got off the phone with a Domo rep. Turns out that Sage is a Domo Partner, AND an investor! The rep was pretty good about answering my questions about cost, etc. Typically this is $50k/yr, and there is usually implementation at first. However, the implementation is more along the lines of applied training, as customers generally make the changes needed over time themselves. Domo creates all the connectors themselves; there is no SDK-equivalent.

How many dashboard / BI tools does Sage need?

At one time we asked how many ERP systems does Sage need. #ShinyObjects

Domo today is aimed at customers much larger than Sage's current center. Yet Sage invested in these guys. So something hasn't been announced.

You are presuming a plan, presumably also by someone who is still with Sage. Who could that be?

It appears that Domo is used internally by Sage to measure some type of marketing analytics. If I were make a guess it is something Gabie Boko used at a previous organization and she brought the use to Sage.

That makes sense, Wayne. I also think it likely that Domo will move down market in the next couple years. The functionality is much closer to what people are used to than, say, QlikView. seems less IT intensive, too.
