Subscription ""Kill Switch""
Our regional sales manager told me Friday that there will be a ""kill switch"" built into 100c within 3-4 months that will render the software unusable except for inquiry. I assume that was a warning. I asked about perpetual and he said that would not be happening and customers will have their license in perpetuity, even if they do not renew maintenance. I don't think he's the final word on this, especially considering the wording in the latest EULA, but this seems to be an active item at Sage.
And . . . there's a BPAC call the last week of January. Based on the last few of these, that means there will be general channel announcements shortly after that.
