Subject: Ditto previous entry. A client asked last week if it is possible to ""Ditto"" a prior entry and if there is a shortcut key for that in MAS v4.4. For example, they are running payroll in the old system until the end of the year, and when they journal the checks, they use the same GL account. I showed them how to copy and paste, but the old system had a ""ditto previous entry"" button, and they're used to that. Before I start looking at scripting options, I thought I'd check with the experts. Thanks!

If they are using General Journal Entry, use the ""Copy From"" button to select from Journal History, or set up a Standard Journal. Nothing like this in Transaction Journal Entry, but this is often easier with a GJE copy. Then a simple entry to Bank Rec for the Cash activity, if they don't have a bunch of checks, or are using direct deposit. If they have VI you can also do a simple import to Transaction Journal Entry for the whole thing from their old system.

@KevinWesley: Thanks for the quick response. They are looking for a ""ditto"" that would run through the entire MAS system. The payroll entries were just an example.
