    Strange page breaks on Sales Order Invoices. Anyone have words of wisdom when a client experiences the random odd page break in SO Invoice printing in v4.4 PU 4. Symptoms: Client uses Extended Descriptions heavily (often 3 or 4 lines of text). There's a certain detail section size that seems to trigger a page break -- but doesn't correctly trigger the invoice code to print the ""continued"". So what you have is a two page invoice where the first page has all the invoice totals --- as does the second page. I haven't modified the section information for the form -- and I've definitely seen this odd behavior (mostly when clients use their invoicing as more of a typewriter) where there's a certain combo of line length in the details section which seems to kick in a page break but not the Sage form logic to tell the form that there was a break. ?

    I think in the product release notes for 4.30 (just check the latest and it will be in there somewhere) they have some instructions on what to do to change the form

    Does the Crystal form have a total page field on it. I have seen weird stuff happen when it has this field.

    It's the stock Sales Order Invoice. The only thing odd is we changed some of the section sizes -- and the client uses extended descriptions which could be 3 or 4 full lines of text.

    So it works fine on a clean form with the exception of the extended descriptions not appearing properly?

    It's probably a spacing issue -- because the client is using lengthy extended descriptions I think that's somehow throwing off MAS invoice printing. I've seen this before and sometimes adjusting the form (narrow/wider amount of space) works and other times it's just non-stop hair pulling.

    Why are they adjusting the space to print extended descriptions? Wouldn't they keep the field as is and format it as Can Grow?

    It does grow -- I think the issue is that if there are a certain # of lines that it grows into MAS doesn't gracefully treat the page break with a ""continued' field. In some (but not every) instance there's no ""continued"" the invoice totals simply print on both page 1 and page 2

    I see. Maybe the ""Keep Object Together"" is not enabled? This should precent it from splitting the description across multiple pages.

    It's not a case of the description splitting -- the full extended description goes onto the next page. The problem is that on a 2 page invoice page one shows invoice totals ($$) at the bottom when on page one of a multi-page the bottom should display ""continued"". Oddly when I insert a /C comment line as the last line on the invoice that is misbehaving the problem goes away
