v2020 Premium.  The customer has a "Rebuild Auto-Complete Indexes" set up to run nightly.  Every couple of weeks they have stranded pvxwin32.exe processes using Sage 100 user licenses.  All of the processes have the windows user account that is used for the nightly rebuild.  It's easy enough to fix.  Just End Process on the pvxwin32.exe.  It's not consistent.  Has anyone seen this?

Is this using the Sage scheduler from the launcher?

@Jeff Schwenk  Yes, this is the Library Master Task Scheduler from the Sage 100 menu.

Check the default printer for that account on that machine.  If it's a PDF printer it could be locking up the process with an invisible prompt to save the automatic (can't disable) task log.

Thanks @Kevin Moyes  I will check that.  Interesting that it doesn't happen every night when the job runs.  It doesn't seem consistent so it's tough to track down.

Could it be as simple as a changed default printer when someone has a connected RDC session?
Most of our issues with Sage Task Scheduler have been caused by that forced printout.  Setting the default printer to a fake / paused print queue has solved this kind of issue for a couple of our customers.
