Still working to confirm with Sage but I heard tha

Still working to confirm with Sage but I heard that Donald Deshaies is no longer at Sage. This appears likely since on April 20 Sage introduced Rich Spring who they noted was going to have the channel management role and report to Pascal. Donald Deshaies is also not on the IT Alliance roster for attendees although Himanshu, Rich Spring, Ed Kless and Laurie Rodriguez are. I sent PR an inquiry on this. It's hard to believe the info is not accurate as pretty much all the channel representatives show up at ITA.

Hmmmm, the revolving door?? At what point do people stop coming to work at Sage?? Or do they just take the money up front?

That's my question - hopefully there is a strategy other than a never-ending string of EVP getting paid big money to keep trying the same things.

I could go for a gig like that. Called the retirement egg. Splatter stuff on the wall, then be asked not to return....

Bob Scott received a confirm from Sage -- looks like Joo Sohn holds down the fort until a replacement is named. http://www.bobscottsinsights.com/index.php/technology-news/3881-deshaies-departs-from-sage

Ok, didn't meet Donald, so I can scratch him off the list.

You snooze, you looze..... When is the optimal time to put together your Summit list of important people to meet? One month, one week or one day before the big event?

It may be a waste of time anyway - even the ones who are at Summit could be gone by the next quarter end purge...

@JeffSchwenk Perhaps the list is for 1-2 weeks after Summit - just to make sure they're a keeper.

I met Donald and he appeared to have less propensity to rock the boat than Tom Miller and less experience and domain expertise as well. A nice guy. Someone to bring home to mother.

Why would Sage put any power or importance behind the Channel leader when they place so little importance on the channel (except when it's time to use a partner to deliver the bad news of a price increase or product defect)? I think it was inevitable that most of the channel would actively diversify. It just happened partly under Donald's time at Sage. Nice guy.
