This didn't exactly give me a warm fuzzy feeling, just affirmed to me how back burner Sage100 still seems to be for them.

I'd love to see a "road ahead' for Sage 100 and Endpoint AS.  If anyone has any success in obtaining something like that; please share.

@Jane Scanlan  Looks like they have "revised" the message.  My email received today is worded differently.  With no mention of "exciting updates for Sage 100 Customers".

Wow, Madeline, you must be privileged because I received no such new email.  All this is very concerning, especially since there are no 'exciting updates for Sage 100'.  It seems pretty obvious now that Scanco has no intentions of improving their Sage100 add-ons.  All aboard the Intacct train for them!

I'm scheduled to meet with the Endpoint team next week in Atlanta. I've heard the recent management transition may be contributing to the communication challenges, though in my experience, these issues have been ongoing for some time. I'll be sure to report back on any insights or updates I gather from the conversation. If there's anything else you'd like me to raise with them, please feel free to share it with me in advance!

Both Endpoint and ScanForce have become involved over time with other products. I can't speak at all to what level of success they've had.

From memory I think Endpoint went toward Acumatica. ScanForce toward Sage Intacct.

I think one overall concern with Intacct is their strategy for distribution and manufacturing. From the more recent sessions at MOTM it seems that SDMO is their approach.

Sage has four sessions on SDMO listed for their Sage Future conference June 3-5 2025 in Atlanta. To me that doesn't seem like a lot of sessions for a strategy which has been on the Intacct roadmap for many many years. I think Sage has been talking about SDMO for at least the past three 90 Minds. They've been talking about bringing inventory to Intacct since before Sage acquired Intacct.

More directly about this mailing - IMO - Sage Future is an Intacct conference. With only 13 Sage 100 specific courses vs 152 for Sage intacct ( Source: Sage Future Registration screen ) it's not out of line for Endpoint to spotlight Intacct in a mailing that's primarily targeting the Intacct partners/customers attending Sage Future.

Ultimately the issue will become how to migrate customers with 2+ enhancements - many of which may be WMS - from Sage 100 to Sage Intacct. This is going to be a tricky maneuver to successfully accomplish.

    Just my .02.

I reached out to my contact in the sales department at Scanco/Endpoint.  Below is the response I received.

    LOL, no clue.

I regularly get responses to help tickets 2 weeks later, and one of them said something similar.

Based on the responses John and Jeff received, I guess Scanco thinks its laugh out loud funny, which speaks volumes.  Do we think they care any more about OM?  Now that Sage has coded PM up to standards, and has beefed it up with missing functionality (plus in includes a few OM features), why not offer a true Make to Order solution via Sage of MD?  Since OM hasn't had any improvements in at least if not more than 10 years, despite many times telling us there would be, it would be great of Sage would at least offer a true make to order (think having a real link to a sales order line or order, and relieving WIP and posting COGS from the work ticket rules at time of invoicing).  At least if that base MTO OM functionality were there for now.  How about ScanForce's make to order getting enhanced to have this?

@John Hoyt go get 'em at Sage Future (so that there is a future).

From @Wayne Schulz post above -  From the more recent sessions at MOTM it seems that SDMO is their approach.

I attended the SDMO session and it did look promising.  We can only HOPE that it pans out and that Sage allocates the resources and improves it past the initial release after the shine has diminished.

And I do wish, Sage would just come to terms with their direction and rip the band-aid off OM situation.
