Statement from JOB-OPS re: SQL compatibility The JobOps Development Team has evaluated the requirements necessary to create a JobOps 4.5 SQL release. At this time, there is no projected date for a JobOps SQL version that will be compatible with the 4.5 version of Sage 100 Premium. Our concerns in creating a SQL release include the development effort required to convert existing JobOps user data from the Providex version to the SQL version and data file structure changes that may be required in the SQL version. Also, the unknown of an integrated payroll solution/module presents a problem for many existing JobOps Customers.

Well if you take out the payroll interface then they are pretty much re-writing code. I can understand that.

The best thing resellers can to is communicate to JobOps the propects/customers who are requesting a SQL version and the deals lost because a SQL version is not available. It will be important for JobOps to understand the ""lost revenue.

It is a compatibility which will be a big deal within a couple years. SQL compatibility will continue to grow in importance for all ERP. I think Sage understands it, but I don't know how fast they will make Sage 100 database agnostic that way.
