  • 1.  Starship VTechnologies Expedite Support Call

    Does anyone have any support numbers for Starship that connect with a(ny) person who can expedite a support call?  The client upgraded over the weekend to v2023.  They are now unable to connect to Starship.  Feedback from Starship is that they will reach out within 48 hours.  IMHO, not acceptable.

    Are they using the Starship Link? Did they remember to get the updated link? If not, then they can get that through their sales rep which is much faster.

    Within the StaShip client, do you see Sage 100 2023 in the Settings?  You have to click on it after a Sage 100 version upgrade.

    The plot thickens...... 

    User didn't bother to stay on maintenance with Vtech so of course they have little incentive to "get on it"!!!  Payment has been made, the next move is VTech's.

    For anyone who stumbles across this message in the future: 

    • V-Technologies has gone to a portal-based support system ( effective 10-1-2023 ) where they request you log in and create a ticket
    • V-Technologies used to allow the purchase of support cases to upgrade Starship. Now, they price it as a project, and you must complete some questions/forms before the upgrade. There is an additional fee for this, which I think was $500 to $800 in 2024. This fee might vary depending on your use of Starship.
    • During our upgrade, the tech told us people could be in Sage, which turned out not to be true ( and as a result, we believe a crucial data dictionary file was hosed, resulting in a system down status). I strongly recommend having everyone out of Sage and backing up \MAS90\*.* before starting the Starship upgrade.
