  • 1.  Starship user keeps coming up with accounting date 11/14/23

    New installation of Starship Cloud on Sage 100 2022.1 - User STAR configured for Starship keeps showing up with program Sales Order Entry and accounting date 11/14/23, causing all shipping data entry records to be created with that date.  Prompt for Accounting date in checked in preferences.  rebooting server does not help.

    Any one seen this before or have ideas for the fix?

    Vtech support points finger at Sage...

    Default button upper right hand corner of Sales Order Entry has it hardcoded? Or what if it is corruption in Sales Order Header or Detail table that we can't see?  Have you tried, going in after hours, renaming sales order, header and detail? Then manually reinit those to get new tables and then proceed with creating a new sales order to go to shipping? Does the date come out correctly if you make Sage play with new tables?

    This will either tell you that it is Sage, or it isn't with brand new tables. You could even go with a test company that is not using Starship and see how it plays. 

    Then you'll have the response you need for VTECH should it be them which I do think it is. Sage did not magically come up with that behavior. It's getting a little help somewhere.

    Check SY_ModuleDate for the user / company / module.  This LastDate value is normally updated when a user answers a date prompt. 

    If you change the date in this table, does StarShip use the new date?  If so, the problem is indeed StarShip not properly resetting the transaction date during their session.  The Accounting date is not intended to be used in that way (for integrations).

    I tried changing it in Sales Order defaults and it came back to 11/14.  I changed it via DFDM in SY_ModuelDate and that worked.  Now to see what it says tomorrow

    Check your field mapping in Starship. You have the ship date mapped to the user's system date. Since you don't log in directly as STAR the Sage 100 system date never changes for this user - which is fine, but you need to make that date is not used in Starship.

    @Bill Pfahnl are you referring to the Ready Date field under shipments?  I don't see system date as a mapping option for that...

    It looks like what needs to be done for this is in the Company Settings uncheck Prompt for accounting date and check Set date from systems date
