  • 1.  Starship Error - Starship Not Installed when clicking button in shipping entry

    Anyone else working this weekend and have a thought on my error? Doing an upgrade and Starship refuses to launch when clicking the starship buttons in shipping options or shipping entry. Getting "Starship is not installed" from shipping entry or "the object so254_ssl_sslProcessing is not initialized". Neither Sage nor Starship KB's have any results. Any insight would be appreciated before Monday AM EST go live.

    Greg, Just general troubleshooting with upgrade - did you install StarShip prior to converting and reinstall after converting data? Open StatShip options in Sage 100 to confirm configuration?

    To correct, perform the following on the problem workstation:

    1. Close StarShip Client.

    2. Run Mas_Switch.exe from C:\Program Files (x86)\V-Technologies\StarShip\Client.

    3. Click 'Use StarShip 9.x' and give it 2-3 seconds to register.

    4. Click 'Use StarShip 16.x' and give it 2-3 seconds to register.

    5. Close Mas_Switch.exe and relaunch StarShip Client. Attempt the order import again.

    Thanks @Jim Woodhead that got me closer. It appears I have the wrong version. It's telling me to switch client to source 2018, I don't have that choice, only 2013 or 2016. Anyone have the 2018 Starship link download?

    You likely need to ask vetchologies to enable v2018 on your side.  I think it is just a license setting.

    Ditto on Jim's comment. Did an upgrade last week and had same issue. When doing these Sage 100 upgrades with StarShip, VTechnologies needs to be contacted to add the new Sage 100 version to the license setting. It's more than just a software update.

    @Greg Stiles Not sure if you fixed this or not, but here are the links to 2018 if you want to give it a go. I agree they likely need to do something on this end, but this might make Monday a little quicker and allow users to stay in the system?

    All good. V Tech added the interface, updated the starship server registration, changed the starship client source interface and we are in business.
