Organization is using StarShip's eNotify send out tracking emails. Is it possible with eNotify to include or exclude text or links based on data in StarShip? What are other using to send our tracking information with the capability of including targeted marketing messages or links?

Yes, you can add links, images, etc. You can also have various templates setup for different types of customers which get triggered by various conditions. Last time i was in there the template interface was a bit clunky and awkward but once you set it up, it all works. I don't know if that has been improved in more recent versions.

    Hi Kenny,

I am VERY interested to know how you modify the eNotify emails.   All the time in the past I was told "they are what they are and can't be modified".

    Thank you,

@Robert Osborn, When you install Starship, it installs an eNotify Template Designer . Usually it's in the Starship Client program folder. I can't recall if you need to install eNotify separately or if it's installed by default with the rest of Starship. I would suggest you call Starship Support, they are really good and will send you what you need and possibly walk you through it it.

I've been working with this a bit lately!  You can find it if you go to the "search area" and type in eNotify.  It's a separate program from Starship.

You can modify the email a lot, even sending over Starship UDFs into the template for additional information to print.  I sent over "sold to"  information (only "ship to" is available) and I'm working on getting Backordered amount into the table where it has quantity ordered and quantity shipped.

Another really nice thing about this is that you can schedule WHEN the notification goes out.  My customer has it set for 30 minutes after the shipment, in case they change their shipping.

Send me an email if you'd want to work together.  I'm not an expert on this yet (yet!), but I do have a little knowledge.  Roberta.chase@compudata.com
