• The Issue: FedEx is mandating that all users migrate to their new REST API by April 1, 2026. After this deadline, FedEx will start shutting down non-compliant customer meters, which will lead to service disruption.
• Who Should Take Action: All StarShip customers currently using the StarShip Desktop version, as it is not compatible with the new FedEx REST API. They must either move to StarShip Cloud or upgrade to StarShip WebUI (v25.0.4 or higher) and complete the migration. V-Technologies also notes that 2025 pricing on licensing and implementation expires on January 30, 2026, which is a date for immediate action.
• Who Is OK: Customers who have already:
  • Moved to StarShip Cloud (migration is completed).
  • Installed StarShip WebUI (v25.0.4 or higher) and completed the FedEx Migration.

From prior conversations with V-Tech, they knew this was coming; however, FedEx had not set a firm date.  They planned to give clients early earning (the message from V-Tech started back with the UPS API conversation in 2024); then 60-day notice when it became a real / firm date.  Tell me, what large corporation thinks April Fools Day is a good day for any technology change?  Guess they had not discussed it with the marketing team?
