Jeff,
User manual for reference: https://www.dsdinc.com/enh/downloads/I271700.pdf
First please note: The described feature was developed for a specific client to its specifications and may not conform to generally accepted Sage 100 standards and procedures. These features may or may not benefit you in your application of Sage 100.
The I/M Transaction Update, I/M Physical Count Variance Register update, P/O Receipt Register update, P/O Return of Goods Register update, S/O Sales Journal update, B/M Production Entry Register and Disassembly Register updates, and W/O Transaction Journal update will all use the 'Valuation Method' Cost.
All reports that use the Unit Cost from the Item Cost Detail file will have a zero unit cost. The Inventory Valuation Report is the exception if the setup option to use the Average/Standard Cost instead was checked.
Thanks!

Subject: Standard Cost valuation but still have ability to track Serial or Lot number.
One of the gaps in 100. Sage 500 had/has this feature. Another related gap is losing track of lot/serialization when drop-shipping through PO.
