I sat in on the first two keynotes. The first was Nancy Harris and the second was Mike Edgett - Product Marketing Director, Sage North America.
Both were fairly generic. I found myself wondering why there wasn't more Sage tie-in. They did mention using third-party but very little about why people might use these third-parties vs others.
The event did not have a moderator to move people from session to session and instead, the conference relies on you manually changing rooms where appropriate. And the rooms are separate. So, for example, when Nancy Harris finished early her room went dark and the next speaker didn't automatically come up. I had to navigate back to the agenda and join the next room at the appointed time.
This should be available both as a live and recorded event. I can't see much value in forcing people to attend live unless Q&A is a material component of the presentation.
Breakout sessions appear to be linked to GotoWebinar which you again register for and join on a separate system.
It seems all but certain that Sage Summit will need to cancel and/or go virtual.
I suspect Sage will use a similar format for Summit.
