SPS Looking for Feedback: A local market research group sent me this today... Hello, I am writing to see if you would be interested in participating in our Sage Credit Card Processing interview. We are looking for Accountants or Managers of Businesses that do not use Sage Payment Solutions to process credit card transactions. As a participant you will be testing a online self-service application form and will be conducted remotely via WebEx. As a show of appreciation for your time you will be incented with a 75$ Amazon Gift Card upon completion of the session. Well, they blew up their sales force, so what do you expect?

1. For a test why would it matter if you used SPS or not?

Isn't this meant to be a self-service app to sign up to use SPS, to replace your current Merchant? If so, why would a current SPS user bother? More likely, I'm completely misunderstand what the online form does ...

I'm wondering if this is a marketing ploy. If I'm not already an SPS user - why would I want to become one just to help Sage test their sign-up process? Also haven't Square and other online payment services been accepting online applications for quite some time?
