I'm going to be interested to see whether there is more to SageOne than what they showed. From what I've seen SageOne is an ultra low end --- shoebox accounting. When asked if there is an upgrade path I was told no. To me this is really puzzling unless Sage's plan is just to get a bunch of single user sites and sell them a bunch of connected services.... I can't figure out how they'll make money here but it's possible Sage hasn't shown a finished product yet.

They really are making decisions based on the backwards logic of ""customers on maintenance plans are happier"" as opposed to ""customers who are happier stay on maintenance"" and said they are now going to force Sage Business Care on Sage 50 customers.

She mentioned Sage 100, 200 and 300?! She also said that Business Care includes support, training and ""everything a small entrepreneur needs to get up and running."" Kind of like some assembly instructions say, ""No tools required""; in this case, ""No VARS required.

I think it's meant to compete in the lower end of the Quickbooks market, so it probably should be no VAR required.

It's all so sad and sordid. Think of what they could be doing with their time to actually grow the brands and make the customers (and channel) happy.
