Upon exit of WT edit the screen hangs for 20-60+ seconds.

We believe it is recalculating all the lines upon exit. 

We have 2 clients with this issue. 

1. Version Sage 2020.3 Premium
2. Version 2021.2 Advanced

The work around provided from Scanco was to use a different tax schedule on the Sales Order and change to avatax tax schedule at time of invoicing.

Any one else experiencing this issue or have any insight?

Yes, this is a known issue. We were the ones that actually discovered the Avalara issue (by chance) and brought it to Scanco's attention. When they looked at their code they confirmed that when you close a WT screen, OM is making an API call to Avalara for every line on the WT since the tax needs to be calculated on a line by line basis. A WT with many lines can take 2 or 3 minutes to close. We are still using the workaround of using a non Avalara tax schedule during SO entry and changing to the Avatax schedule upon invoicing. I don't think they have plans to fix this anytime soon.
