Who do you think pays for MOTM and for boat cruises and for dinners? Why do you think that Sage comes down and listens to all of our petty complaints? Answer: It's not because we are 10 people in DSD's conference room. S* on our vendor members all you want - but without them you're looking at conference room conferences, sandwiches from Russ Graff for lunch on your desk -- or $2,500 dues and $1,500 conferences. If you doubt this go do some browsing on the web.

Thank you @JohnHoyt for your comment. I don't that this as a slur on our fabulous vendor members, but rather an invitation to explore alternatives. I would like to think we can remain 90 Open Minds in spite of accepting vendor support.

Having access to multiple solutions to a problem is a great opp for 90 Minders. I don't have a need now for multi-bin, but a comparison sheet would be helpful to those who do -- what situations is ACS more appropriate than IIG and vice versa.

The sole intention for the comment was to make sure all understand there is another solution, which is what we commonly do in most discussions. Based on other discussions, we cannot assume all members are aware of all functional solutions in the marketplace. In the past I have discussed with Ron Chompf and Ron Jacobs of ACSG the vendor member program and, based on this discussion, e-mailed them again to consider this. It is to eveyone's advantage that we have as many vendor members as possible. A great example of this is that Scanco, ScanForce and JBD Solutions Group are all now vendor members, meaning we have a good sampling of the major solutions offered for Sage 100 ERP.

Following on John's comments. Might it be possible to set up a Socialcast forum where a consultant can post the parameters of their customer's need in enhancement area, and where the applicable Vendors can respond with factors to consider for the customer to get most value?
