Speaking of recurring revenue: Anybody use a creative way to bill all your customers some type of monthly fee for some base bundle of services? I know some are using Value BIlling for fix feeing projects but what about 'pay $x/month and receive the following privileges...'

I have tried to stay away from monthly because I feel that it creates 12 separate opportunities for the customer to question why they pay us. Instead, I focus on an annual payment and have most customers on an access agreement with a few also bundled in for an upgrade but only when I have done at least one. I have a couple customers who pay a flat monthly rate for x on-site visits per month. I find that a lot easier than to try to predict exactly what the customer may want us to do. The on-site works best with customers who have a lot of requests.

What does your access agreement provide?

Like @WayneSchulz we bundle SERV access agreements with all new system sales and won't adopt an orphan or ROR transfer without one. Today, we only bill annually but once we finish the contract component of our Acumatica implementation, we plan to offer monthly payment plans so long as the customer signs up for auto-payment via ACH or Credit Card. This link with take you to the page on our site that details our SERV offering options. http://www.cs3tech.com/serv.html

I assume the price is tied to the nature of the system you are supporting and the value of the service you are providing...

The most important idea here is what Shawn said above **we bundle SERV access agreements with all new system sales and won't adopt an orphan or ROR transfer without one.** I can say from experience that the market is **flooded** with users looking for ""on call hourly"" support which I can translate for you as ""quick question free, tough questions at a rate lower than the lowest $ the user paid their prior VAR but most calls should be quick/free"". Like Shawn, I wish these users well and give them Sage's number to call for hourly support.
