Sorry for being AWOL on the MOTF matters but I was busy driving 390 miles to visit an orphan v3.71 user. Seems like they are getting some religion and don't want to get caught with their pants down if the program goes south. I owe the lead to Sage. I received a heads up on 7/3 that user was wanting to upgrade. They hadn't been on maintenance for ages and they were adamant about NOT dealing with their ROR. So Sage sent them my way. Originally they were interested in a cloud solution, but after crunching the numbers, they were money ahead with on premise. But what I found out today was that Sage ALSO quoted them a five user financial bundle AND offered them a 30% discount if they would buy direct.... WTF. Is Sage going to install it too? I put in a call to my regional manager for a ""discussion"" tomorrow!

Definitely keep us up to date on the direct sale aspect!!!

Sage was offering remote installation with their ""Quick-Start"" Fixed Asset promo. I wouldn't be surprised if they put together teams of installers to do installations. Sage also offered a virtual training course with the promo, so there goes the training also.

Update on this - Talked to my regional manage and the Sage contact that prepared the quote. The 30% off the off plan promotion to bring laggards back on plan. All is well as it would apply to my quote also. But personally after the visit yesterday, I probably wouldn't have passed the discount along to them. Now I have to.......................

Why can't you add the discount back to your services quote? That's what I'd do.
