    Sophie was VP Marketing and her most visible position had been overseeing the cross-selling in initiative from the Joe Langer/Doug LaBahn days.

    I was told yesterday that all marketing and finance people in Irvine were laid off. Source also confirmed that Irvine folks told the marketing positions would reappear in Atlanta, but as different people.

    I would hope that the finance people in Atlanta are assigned by region, so we on the West Coast are able to call them based on our time zone, although I doubt that's the plan.

    One of the Sage execs once told me ""If there are three ways of doing something ranging from good, better, best, you should always plan that Sage will pick something off-menu that is not any of those options."" (meaning ... always horrible choices)

    I was told that all of Product Marketing was laid off. Really, really stupid.

    I'm thinking that's not a bad move. Diane sure didn't come up with enough to make 100c/300c seem attractive.
