There used to be a theme park (Opryland) across the street from the Opryland Hotel in the '80's. Spent a week there once with my 20 month old (now 24 year old) daughter while my wife was attending a D & B tech conference. I believe it closed in the 90's. If you go for a walk outside the Gaylord, you can seem the reminants through the chain link fence. Looks like Dolly is bringing new life to it. The roller coaster there will bring some relief from the roller coaster ride inside the Gaylord..........
