Something that is not yet clear to me: The presentation and FAQ primarily address subscription based sales. So far what I've read is the one sale per quarter and 90% renewal is a requirement to receive margin on 1) Subscription based customers 2) Additional sales that Sage uncovers. It appears to me for the traditional user based and module based sales (paid up front) that the current tier rules and margins still apply. What have I missed?

@BobKohlmeyer - I think the general assumption is that they will soon follow this with a consolidation of tier requirements for both standard and subscription pricing.

Probably a safe assumption unless we can prove in the mean time why the move would not be good for Sage. Even when we do offer a good argument, it seems they just don't get it. It really is frightening.

II think @PeterWolf hit it on the head -- I am assuming that like most other Sage announcements they will shortly announce that ""in order to keep all our procedures and policies aligned we will be changing..."" I'd be very surprised if they didn't make that change to adopt the more stringent 90/1 subscription rules -- so I'm just pretending they are already here when considering future possibilities.
