@PaulZiliak Any comment? I've been in and out of mergers more times than I care to remember. I'm trying to figure out the synergistic logic, beyond possible margin mergers? You both focus on different things, totally different geographies and different names.

The original deal was in 2006. http://connection.ebscohost.com/c/articles/20237164/microaccounting-enters-chicago

The differences in focus is primary to the expected value of the merger. xkzero has chosen to focus on technology innovation, primarily in the Sage 100 ERP space, as well as consulting in the enterprise space (500 and X3). MicroAccounting has invested a lot in Sage 100 ERP consulting including first rate help desk and project management which we had not invested in. Our sales team is already working X3 sales opportunities in both markets. Administration, help desk, customer account management will originate from Dallas, programming and development in Chicago, and with talented consultants and sales people on the street in both markets. Unlike at lot of these mergers we have cash, clients, no debt, equally strong markets and owners committed to the space for the long term. I think we have the potential to create something special. (And I hope i am right. ;) ). As for the name, no, we don't plan to call it 'Xmas' as some have suggested. MicroAccounting will emerge as the VAR name and we'll operate xkzero as an application development company, both owned by the new entity.
