So the conclusion to the customer numbers not renu

So the conclusion to the customer numbers not renumbering in CLOSED Sales Orders in Sales Order History file (which was supposed to be fixed on the infamous Product Update 2 for 2014...) NOW the powers that be have decided that this WORKS AS DESIGNED. So the thinking is that if you have a customer who is bought out or changes their name, or whatever, you would want to know how much they ordered as the old customer and the new, separately. Now if you carried that thought along to a logical conclusion, you would also not renumber the invoices in invoice history, right? And besides that - if the only reason you are renumbering is because they changed their name, who the *expletive deleted* cares how much the ordered before they changed their name. Or say you decide to have a whole renumber party of your customers! Whatever. That is a totally bullshit WAD. Way to raise my blood pressure twice in one day, Sage.

So - in other words if you did in fact find that info important then wouldn't you start fresh with a brand new customer number? This is an odd explanation of a WAD.

You need to call it quits for the week and have a drink (or two).

Well, I'm about ready to call it quits for the DAY and have a drink (or two) - but weekends are but a fleeting memory - as in having an actual weekend...

Weekend? what weekend? that seems to be the only time clients want/expect me to work. God forbid we interrupt their workweek. On the other hand sometimes it's easier to do things when they aren't yammering to get back into Sage anyway.

Yeah, I agree. Supposed to do a test conversion today, but too many emergencies, so pushed back to the weekend, as usual.

Of course everything works as designed, just not as DESIRED.

Just an observation - and you're probably already doing this - provide an option which is 150% higher (insert your own percentage here) for weekend or after-hours work. Make sure it's right in the quote. If your customers are like mine they're now evolving to the point where they love to ask for a quote - sit on it for 3 months - then come back out of the blue (as if you'd issued the quote yesterday to them) asking if you're ready to go tomorrow because their IT guy will be bringing in that new server. This concept of pricing is no different than how an airline prices their seats. Buy a seat for a specific day in a specific section. Come in at the last minute and ask for a seat that day or tomorrow - and check what price you're quoted.

I definitely have a higher price on the weekend if the client requests that I work then (if I'm doing it because I'm behind - tough for me). So this is a berry berry good month for me, although I may be expired by the end of it.

It must be the weather because May and June have been 2 great months for me too..... and I too am ""running ragged"".... I wish I had some help but I don't have time to even search.... not sure if any good Sage 100 consultants are even available.... @BethBowers time for you to raise your rates.

I just have upgrades (someone needed to be on 2013 or higher re CC compliance) or another client was purchased and now wants to merge their 3 companies into one. I do have someone looking at Sage including Work Order, though - that's really popular lately for some reason.
