SO Pick Ticket blank

    Why would a Sales Order print fine with ext description and the Pick Ticket is blank only some times. We are bringing in a file and they take information from the note UDF and paste it into the ext description when needed. These are the orders that are giving me issues with the pick ticket form. They can print the sales order with the ext description fine but not the pick ticket. Now I do know that in the import file in the note field they have special char like / or ; and that is what I think is the issue but can't understand why everything else but the pick ticket will print. 
    Thoughts?

    Maybe checking the File/Report Options check box re Default of Null values?

    Is it blank, like as if you ran it from Crystal and it didn't get to see the dialog box where you pick the selections?
    Is there a Record Select formula in the pick ticket form that might be making it not use it's programmed selection criteria?

    No I have narrowed it down to the ext description field. I just had a item come in with an ext description and it prints fine. Then I added info to that ext desc and it blew the form up. I get a blank form. No information.

    It is the ext description field that is blowing the form up. If the item has a ext desc it prints fine but if you touch it even manually add ext description to the line item it blows the form up . Help any idea's on how to fix that ?

    How ancient is the form?  A few versions back, they tweeked the extended field index.  What happens with a brand new form?

    Well, if they didn't update the form when they migrated, the original form could be form v4.1.....

    I'd Preview, then look at the work file.  If everything is good there, it is a report problem.

    How are you getting the information from the UDF into the Extended Description?  Copy/Pasting at the sales order level or does your Ext Desc formula in the Pick Ticket have a 'if then' statement related to the UDF?
    Is your UDF mapped to the Picking Sheet or are you linking in the SO Order tables?
    Can you post your Ext Description Formula?

    Nancy  - they are copy and pasting it and it was working fine. I do have it resolved by just creating a new form. I think that form was just damaged.
