Sage 100

So I have a quick question regarding Sage 100Cloud, the WO module, Sage Manufacturing, and where things are headed. We were approached by an existing, long-time user of Sage 100 Standard. They own Financials, Distribution, MRP, and BOM. Today, they manage their work center operations and production schedules outside 100. They had a turn-over in management and new mgmt want to discuss bring shop-floor operations into Sage 100. WO is no longer on the Sage 100cloud price list. Does this mean their only choice is Sage 100 Manufacturing? Is the WO module dead moving forward? I thought I heard someone say the WO module is slated to be moved to Framework. Yes? No? As always, your input is greatly appreciated.

WO is supposed to be part of the framework this fall with the v2019 release, per Linda Cade at MOTM 2018

WO continues to be on the 4/4/2018 100cloud price list under subscription addons, but that is currently the non-framework version. The development to take it to framework has not yet started, and I don't believe Sage has found a development partner, if it is to be outsourced. Because of that, there may be some delay in the timing. The real decision point should be whether their operations are traditional manufacturing or if they are more custom and make to order. In that second case, Sage Manufacturing is the optimal solution.

WO is currently slated for Sept 11 (how appropriate) in conjunction with v2019.0 as @JeffSchwenk pointed out. Linda Cade has told the Sage 100 PAC members that WO may slip into the future on more than one occasion. As of today, I would say the message is, ""it is not dead"" and it will be available in the new framework in the future...just not sure when.

Gentlemen, thank you all for your Sage advice (snarky pun intended). I have shared your comments (proper obfuscation applied) to our Sale VP and she will proceed with the prospect. (Love having all you brains to back me up and glad my recollection of the WO comments from Linda Cade were close.)
