So how many of you are seeing 4.3 PAYROLL users asking if the TTU and IRD will work at year end... ?

I am pretty sure I have badgered all of my payroll users to get at least to 4.4.

I tried to install the 2013 Q4 IRD into a SAGE 100 ERP version 4.30. It came back with the message ""The version of SAGE 100 ERP in the target directory is not supported by this update"" Select another directory"". I know there are changes in the IRD to Electronic Reporting for W2 records and there are changes to 1099 form printing. But I'm not sure about W2 form printing for 2013. If a client is on Payroll version 4.30 and they have less than 250 W2s to print can we skip the IRD update, print W2s based on last year's programs, and manually update the Payroll Tax Tables from IRS Publication 15 to allow processing payrolls in 2014?

The FAQ says no W2 changes. I would first advise the user that they should check with their tax and accounting professional since you are not in the business of providing those services or advice (a surprising number of users are quite happy to take your free tax advice/opinion --- until they get some type of penalty notice). So far as I can tell you should be able to print the W2 forms. The other option is to install v2013 on their server (assuming they are on maintenance), create a company code and set up their files, then COPY their GL and PR folder and finally run the conversion. Or you could run the w-2's for them on your office install after getting all of the usual disclaimers...

Oops, my blurb assumed you don't have any PR udf's. But in thinking about it, that shouldn't matter as none of those UDF's should be impacting tax filing....
