So has anyone investigated RenovoFYI. Just noticed it on at Linked in site. They are calling it themselves FRX 7.0. Here are my concerns; Who are they? They says that it is web-based? Are are they a SAAS? What about speed of reports? (Especially if they are on hosted) Costs to upgrade?

First I'm hearing of them - they show as being exhibitors as Summit - booth 207 - http://www.renovocorporation.com/

What I find is VERY interesting is that they can directly migrate the FRX file (Rows, columns and Trees) from FRX to their product. Also the demo had a look and feel of FRX.

I think I read somewhere (probably on LinkedIn on the very long thread) that a bunch of FRx programmers/employees were able to secure the code and continue supporting/selling FRx. This could be the same people.

I watched a demo of the product. It is very similar to FRx and would be easy to migrate FRx reports. They say that they are web-based, however what they mean is it has a web interface. It runs on SQL and must be on a server with a connection to the MAS90/200 data. It appears to be a much more complex install than FRx. I was turned off by their claim to be a 100% web solution which was just a web interface. The people that I talked to seemed to want to tell you whatever you wanted to hear which also turned me off. Attached are the configurate requirements. I don't recall the exact pricing but I think it is around $4-5K.

This is who I was thinking about. Doesn't appear to be the firm Jim is referring to.

I thought it looked interesting too. Guess we have another player in the game of who is going to replace FRx. From the look of it, it appears to be a good replacement. Easy upgrade from FRx. Short learning curve. Available on any PC using web browser. I do agree that it appears to be a harder install than FRx but at least you only do it once for every workstation. Anyone looking into it before summit?
