So has anyone come up with a reasonable explanation as to why all the item quantity information was moved from the main screen in inventory inquiry to screen 3? Maybe it's me although I doubt it based on feedback I've received, but the majority of the time that a user is going into Inventory Inquiry is to look up Quantity information. So why take it away from the main screen?!

    My customers universally hate it.

As far as a workaround, I see that you can add the Total Qty on Hand field to the main screen, but that appears to be it. And in this Forum thread (http://community.sagemas.com/t5/Personalization-Customization/Item-Quantity-Available-on-Main-Panel-of-Item-Inquiry-in-version/m-p/22923 ), Dawn posted a Script solution. Other thoughts?

Brett - there is a custom office script that will take them to the inquiry screen automatically. also erica told me that the engineering guidelines said the maintenance screens and the inquiry screens were to be the same in the business framework - but in this case it really sucked to have that logic.

No explanation, but have you considered using BIE instead of Item Inquiry?

Thanks. I thought that exact same thing, that it was Sage's intention to make the Maint and Inq screens the same, but to me that's just a plain 'ol stupid reason in this particular case. And I'm assuming the Script you're referring to is the one that Dawn posted in that Forum link I posted above.

Absolutely nothing wrong with having maintenance and inquiry screens to be the same. Just make them user friendly in both instances! What is wrong with putting the quantities on the first tab at the bottom as they were for inquiry? Another instance of code being changed without being vetted by end users.........
