**'S/O Addt'l Packing List' form won't print landscape to Wasp or Zebra label printer, but does to laser (v2017)** - even though it was working fine (landscape) to the Wasp printer on v2013 just prior to upgrading. Anyone have any magic answers? I've mucked around with the Page Setup and Print settings inside the .rpt, but no matter what it won't print landscape. One thing that's interesting is that the Wasp folks said they don't print landscape, but the printer/device has a landscape setting.

I had had nothing but problems with labels upgrading to 2017. I've had them end up printing landscape on the first label and portrait on the rest and all sorts of fun things. If the labels are really pretty customized, I've had to consistently recreate them by manually putting everything at 90 degrees. Gigantic PIA. Sorry I don't have a good answer. :-(

Client is going back to their customer to see if portrait labels are ok, but changing text rotation so the fields are vertical might work. Thanks.

You may also try a different print driver. Have you tried or are you using the Seagull / Bartender driver for the Zebra printer?

Trying Bartender was also considered but haven't as of yet.

I have run into this issue as well with the 2017 and greater. It seems to be an issue with the run time with Thermal Printers. The driver either ignores the orientation or never gets it. I end up just changing to 90 degrees. Most cases this is ok. Not sure if it was something in 2017 or it just took a customer upgrading to that version to run into it. I know with .net changes on the run time we had to use font substitute to have barcodes and other printer specific fonts print correctly. It may also be what is causing this issue.

When rotating 90 degrees, you may need to do a conversion to string for all numeric fields (if you see ## instead of a value).

FYI. If having problems printing labels in landscape, I recently discovered that detail sections have an orientation setting, which fixed an upgrade issue for us.

@KevinMoyes I had tried that before and just tested it again. When I use the driver landscape, page landscape and details landscape and any combination of the three ways to set it, I still get portrait.

Same issue with a ZDesigner GC420d. Customer upgrading from Sage 100 2014 to Sage 100 2018. After upgrade has no apparent control on this printer to switch from portrait to landscape
