SMI - I'm reviewing how to create consolidated financials in SMI (for MAS 90 4.5). Once a consolidated P&L is created, if you want to break out the P&L for one of the companies in your consolidation list... YOU MUST REMOVE EVERY ROW THAT CONTAINS REFERENCES TO OTHER COMPANIES!!! Please tell me I misunderstood the directions. Am I to believe that if a customer wants to break out one of the companies within their consolidation set, they have to highlight each and every row (being careful not to either leave one in or take an extra out) just to see the P&L for a single company?

After yiou copy the consolidated to another worksheet, I believe you might be able to create some filters for each company rather than removing the lines but I would have to go back and review this again.

Unhide Columns A-E(?), and the company code should be one of those columns. If not, it's the last three characters of one of the columns, if I recall correctly. Filter for everything <> desired company, and delete. Pretty easy in Excel.

You can also use the tree to dump individual company financials out to separate sheets in the same workbook, with one summary for the consolidation
