    Greetings all...

    Given the upcoming end-of-life of the SmartLinc shipping add-in for Sage100, has anyone had any experience on how to fully remove this product from a Sage100 (2019) install, so we can replace it with Starship ?

    Thanks in advance for any tips, documentation, etc.

    I was involved with one attempt at this.  SmartLinc charged for it.  The integration was done by Greytrix with no uninstaller.  They took several weeks to schedule a time (which had to be around 11 pm).  Make sure you have a full backup before letting them in, as they blew up the system twice before we decided to abandon the uninstall and just continue on with migrating/upgrading the customer (this was 2015 to 2018 I believe).  I think the 2018 system was fine after the migration.  @Lloyd Smith am I leaving anything out?​

    @Phil McIntosh and @Jeff Fiddelman - It was a mess!  The first attempt took 11 hours and it ​​​failed. The second attempt took 8 hours and they partially removed some of the custom fields and application but it also failed. The client said no to a third attempt and we did a normal upgrade. SmartLinc wanted $ 1,000 for the uninstall project.

    Can you just upgrade over smartlinc instead of removing it? I know in some cases we get errors trying to migrate if the app isn’t first installed to the new location.
