I have a customer complaining about the speed of the Direct deposit stub PDF creation and that documents is almost 8 times larger   6KB vs 48 KB.

Has anyone come across any tips or tricks on the printing procedure and Speed issues?

Has the form changed? I certainly can understand a speed change if the file size has increased so much.

Nothing more than a payroll 2.0 stub vs a payroll stub.

Which  version of Sage 100?  2018 and beyond or 2017 and prior?

If you just upgraded to 2018 and above,  was the old version using the non-crystal stubs?  Crystal will definitely take up more space and print slower.

Just looked at stubs on one of my clients.  Typical crystal stubs are about 30KB.   Older ones before transition to graphical stubs tend to be about 16KB.

I know this one is old.  I have a client on 2016 and the form is 6 KB.  I just took the time to time the stub and check the time date stamp on the files.  It takes 20 to 25 seconds for each stub.  That is 20 minutes for 100 stubs.  1) Any way to speed up? 2) I don't recall benchmarking, is this normal?

Was it faster and now it isn't?  How fast if you generate from a server session?  Running from server is best way that I know to rule out network speed issues.

I wonder if PR 2.20.1 hot fix PR6023T will help.

Network infrastructure seems to definitely impact performance of direct deposit stub & emails. PR 2.20.2 -  We are working on this at client now. Performance on server lickity split compared to initiating from workstation.  WebRoot in use on workstation seems to be part of the problem.  Other network issues being investigated.
