Sitting in MSP airport, brrrr...snow on the ground and it's chilly here. Still another flight ahead to Kalamazoo...it's supposed to be in the high 20's when the client picks me up tomorrow morning. This all is really not helping the head cold...why do we do this to ourselves??

Sorry to hear your traveling in such cold weather with a cold to boot! Hopefully the client is great to work with and will see you as a hero. That would make it worth while.

Sorry...sitting in the Cayman Islands, was 87 and gorgeous today. Pet some stingrays. Going diving tomorrow

    And @ThereseLogeais thinks I'm mean.

Wasn't that the last thing Steve Irwin was doing before his untimely demise?

Wait, what were you doing at the MSP airport @DebThomas ?? And you didn't let me know??? Are you still in MN?? If so, let me know!! (And while @MarkChinsky is also cruel, you're still mean, @RobertWood !!)

I love how customers will always try to schedule projects for the busy year end time. I always warn that it's going to be cold in New England, people get sick and relatives are visiting, etc. Nobody ever listens and there's almost always a year end delay.

@DebThomas I'm about 45 miles from Kalamazoo, if you need some chicken noodle soup, let me know.

Come back when you have time to go out ice fishing. Lake of the Woods in January is much more fun than WDW.

@MichaelMcDonald aren't you a sweetie! Chicken Noodle soup sounds so good. Voice is going now due to all the talking/training. Ugh, just want to go home. Finally broke down though and got something to reduce my head congestion. Let me tell you Constantine, MI is pretty darn tiny. No wonder I have to stay in Kalamazoo.

@MarkChinsky you are so mean! I'm envious, but you are mean! @ThereseLogeais If I were in MN for more than a touchdown and take off, we would have been popping the cork on something - definitely. And @MyronStevenson no chance, you'll not find me ice fishing any time...brrrrrrrrr. @WayneSchulz yes, it was pretty brutal of them to insist on this trip at this time. They weren't even willing to postpone until I felt better. However, it's not snowing, thank heavens! Well, back to work. Thanks everyone for the kind (except Chinsky) well wishes.

@MyronStevenson How is the sled purring?

We need more snow!! Only 7"" on the ground here in the land of the frozen tundra. My Christmas wish is 6"" per week for the next three weeks. That should setup a good base for the trails. Of course I'd take a 2 foot dumping to really kick off the season. Between Christmas and New Year's I've got three days of ice fishing on Lake of the Woods - the greatest hard water fishing in the US.

Oh - a week of highs of -5 and lows -20 would help setup the ice. This climate change is really messing up our winters. I may have to move to Canada.

    Climate change?

@ThereseLogeais and you wonder why we think Minnesotans are crazy.

Crazy @RobertWood ?? Living in the land of large reptiles is crazy? Our winters effectively deal with the pythons and gators.

I want to totally disassociate myself from @MyronStevenson - and my sons who all want snow!!! (Sorry, Myron!!.)

  • 19.  RE: Sitting in MSP airport, brrrr...snow on the ground

    Posted 12-13-2012 18:58
Most of my relatives are rednecks. They effectively deal with 'gators and pythons. It's not the gators and pythons you have to worry about.

  • 20.  RE: Sitting in MSP airport, brrrr...snow on the ground

    Posted 12-13-2012 18:59
It's your relatives you have to worry about, @RobertWood ???

  • 21.  RE: Sitting in MSP airport, brrrr...snow on the ground

    Posted 12-13-2012 19:02
That's why the woods in Minnesota are a great place in the winter - no rednecks and no Mexican drug growers.

@JeffSchwenk the sleds are ready to go. If you come up, you can use the 800 RMK. Will go 0 to 70 in under 6 seconds.

  • 23.  RE: Sitting in MSP airport, brrrr...snow on the ground

    Posted 12-13-2012 19:14
    Ready @JeffSchwenk ???

  • 24.  RE: Sitting in MSP airport, brrrr...snow on the ground

Whether or not you are still on it 4 seconds later?

  • 25.  RE: Sitting in MSP airport, brrrr...snow on the ground

    Posted 12-13-2012 19:57
I didn't say I was worried ;) I said ""you had to worry about"". I'm the black sheep of the family.

  • 26.  RE: Sitting in MSP airport, brrrr...snow on the ground

@JeffSchwenk I suspect the fastener one falls off, the faster the sled accelerates.

  • 27.  RE: Sitting in MSP airport, brrrr...snow on the ground

    @ThereseLogeais I am ready!!!!

@MyronStevenson - What is a hard water lake? Does Mother Nature have giant water softener at other lakes?

I love how our chats diverge into many streams of consciousness! gators, pythons & rednecks; hard water vs soft water; snow & ice; speedy sleds...and all because I have a flipping cold...how cool is that?! Oh, and now there's no voice today. Try training on WO and BOM without a voice. Think I'm going to get a cup and make a megaphone out of it and whisper through it all day. :)

  • 30.  RE: Sitting in MSP airport, brrrr...snow on the ground

    Posted 12-14-2012 09:10
I don't like training on WO and BOM WITH a voice!! Poor you, @DebThomas :(

  • 31.  RE: Sitting in MSP airport, brrrr...snow on the ground

    Posted 12-15-2012 03:54
Lol @ThereseLogeais ! It's interesting trying to train normally, but quite a fun time when you are coughing, snorting, blowing nose, and whispering! It is done and now am trying to get home. Of course, Delta delays my flight from Kalamazoo to MSP by an hour. They are saying I ""should"" make my connecting flight. Yeah...like I'm buying that!

  • 32.  RE: Sitting in MSP airport, brrrr...snow on the ground

    Posted 12-15-2012 05:28
@DebThomas have a safe flight home, when you get there make some chicken noodle soup and I hope you feel better soon!

Snow? Ah, yes, that's why BMW has the ski rack accessory for each model that SoCal people put on starting in December, whether they drive to the mountains or not. It's like having a 4 wheel drive Range Rover in case those curbs jump out into the street. It's a status thing.
