SiriusXM cracks me up. Sage is just like them.
I let the 3 month trial expire on my new car. They send me promotions and then one for $25/for 5 months. I jump on it. Of course, it has the stipulation if you don't call (web isn't good enough) it auto bills afterwards at full rate.
I'm smart enough to use a reminder in outlook.
I call and say I'm going to cancel, of course I'm shuttled to 'retentions' department. They generously offer me $49 for 6 months...""Half off our normal price"" I say no thanks, then they say we can also offer you the same $25 for 5 months (so in other words I was just trying to screw you 30 seconds ago with $50 for 6 months).
I took it, and now pushed my reminder 5 months down the road LOL.
Sage and their 'amnesty' is the exact same thing.
