SI UOM error

    Two different clients reporting "SI UOM" error coming up during Invoicing/Shipping.  We are guessing Avatax but have not confirmed yet.  Anyone else reporting this?

    Both clients are trying to ship to Canadian clients.

    Do you have screenshots of the error messages before and after click Info?  These should shed light on the program class that is involved.

    Maybe one of the two.  I'll check.  The other has 50+ users in 3 time zones and I'm pretty sure this one Canadian invoice doesn't rank high enough to get everyone out at the moment.

    Avalara has confirmed an issue with Canadian invoices and are "working to solve it".

    I took one call on this.  The customer had two invoices and both were going to Canada. They seem to have only caught it because they were checking to be sure all the paperless invoices were generated/saved.  Initially, it seems that the paperless documents weren't created. I am going to follow up tomorrow to see if the invoices are posted as well as to verify that the sales tax schedule in use is AVATAX ( I'm pretty sure it is ).

    Has this issue been resolved? I have a customer who tells me that they are invoicing Canadian customer. They report no error messages but no paperles / no paperless invoice yet the AR invoice does post. They are on Avalara so I'm wondering if they are somehow experiencing an offshoot of this error where Canadian invoices were throwing an error with Avalara.

    What made me extra suspicious that it could be related is that they do a bath and the only invoices that don't go out by paperless are those to Canada.

    Avalara informed one of my clients it was fixed last week, and they were able to invoice normally.  They use paperless and didn't mention any issues with those invoices, but I can't guarantee that THOSE customers get emailed invoices.

    I still can't confirm that this is an Avlara issue. The only symptom so far was they run a batch of say 100 invoices and of those there are two to Canada and those don't show up in the paperless office document viewer though they are in the aging.

    Update: I called Sage because if I don't I'll probably take another half dozen calls from the customer asking me to do so. The tech didn't have much to suggest other than TLS. I asked if they'd hear of any issues with Avalara and Canada and he didn't seem to have dealt with anything recently though may have heard about it last week once or twice.

    We still have a client reporting this issue with Acumatica Quotes and Invoices.

    It's been resolved. The client had opened a support ticket with Avalara and never got one response from them!
