  • 1.  SI error when deleting or editing lines on report

    SI Gurus, need some help! The SI error is only happening on the server (2012 R2 64-bit) when the user is deleting or editing lines on new or existing report. The error below displays in excel. Sage 6.10.3 advanced and Excel version standard 2016.

    Here is what I have already done to troubleshoot:
    1. uninstalled Sage 100 workstation (as admin)
    2. uninstalled excel on server (as admin)
    3. restarted server
    4. reinstalled Sage 100 workstation (as admin)
    5. reinstalled excel on server (as admin)
    6. confirmed all three Microsoft programs (VSTO runtime 2010, VVSTO runtime 3.0, SQL server compact 3.5 and .net framework 4.5 or higher) are installed
    6. UAC is turned off
    7. All 5 folders of BI functions are under located under common files
    8. Check the registry HKEY_Current_User for excel add-ins to confirm full rights and BI Generator registry key 3.
    9. Excel version is 64-bit
    10. Backup and anti-virus programs have been turned off 
    11. All 3 add-ins in excel have been disabled and re-abled (BI Generator, Report Designer add in 1.2.0 and Report Designer add in 1.2.0 (custom task pane helper)

    If the users runs the SI reports from local workstations in office the reports run and allow editing of the lines on the report. I'm out of ideas on what else to troubleshoot. Attached a screenshot of the error.

    I do know that Sage's recommendation is to uninstall both, but then reinstall Excel BEFORE Sage 100.  Also, after uninstall and before reinstall, perform the following:

    1. Delete the C:\Sage folder.
    2. Delete all folders and files beginning with "BI" in the C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files folder.
    3. Search for and delete all instances of "alchemex.svd" and "pdongle".

    Thanks @Susan Pawlowic! I have completed steps 1 and 2 but forgot about step 3.
