Should we think about a group Dropbox account? We have sugarsync but I've had very poor results downloading anything larger than a few mb. It seems especially unstable on ZIP files. Downside on Dropbox is that while the group can foot the 50 or 100 GB sized storage (100 GB is only $199/yr) -- when it is shared out to each person who has a Dropbox account -- they will also have to spring for a paid storage. Example: 90 Minds has a 50 GB total Dropbox (just assume it's filled to 50 GB) -- if we share this to a member -- they add the shared folder and THEIR individual Dropbox has to be at least 50 GB (which means if you're using the 2GB freebie members opting to include the shared 90 Minds dropbox would individually have to pay their own accounts). Personally I'm finding that as I do more upgrades that I'm starting to have a stable of patches and fixes that I use repetitively. I'd like to harness the brain power of the group to create a useful central repository of: - Patches - What's new documents - Source disks (FRX, F9, Starship) Sugarsync for me is ok but unreliable on larger sized downloads.

Internally we use a product called cloudstor ($179 for 2 TB, $249 for 4TB) that can be shared, files uploaded, downloaded - basically our own Dropbox, but no ongoing fees. We also use it to upload and download customer files. Our Internal Help Desk, OS, Drivers, Software Upgrades all accessable form any computer. The files can be accessed by any smartphone or iPad using pogoplug. The files could only be accessed by those who know the link. http://www.buffalocloudstor.com/ http://cloudstor.pogoplug.com/ for tutorials
