Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I think it might have great PR value.

  • 2.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-03-2012 10:40
Great. Are we going to list our sponsors?

  • 3.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-03-2012 10:57
The only concern is that not everyone in SC is on the attendance list so there could be questions about why everyone isn't invited but I think we would write the release to answer those types of questions. Yes we can provide sponsor info.

It was a 90minds event not oasis so I think we will be ok.

  • 5.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-03-2012 11:03
Remember oasis is paid too so I guess I don't know what you mean?

  • 6.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-03-2012 11:03
Just remember that the invitees were PAID members of 90 Minds, not just a member............

  • 7.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-03-2012 11:05
He means PAID 90 Minds event.

  • 8.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-03-2012 11:07
Dawn, Ed W. and Big Louie are in the legacy 90 Minds group, but their companies elected not to be a paid member. So they weren't invited to the conference.

  • 14.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

Made some contributions and then was disconneted.

  • 15.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-03-2012 13:06
Yes the changes should stick - I find that the service is very spotty in terms of connectivity - definitely more of a consumer level online system

  • 16.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-05-2012 07:12
I'll press release this Monday. Unfortunately only three people bothered to make any sort of effort to edit this - so those are the three URL's you'll see listed in the press release. If after this release is out and distributed you have the question of ""Hey Wayne why wasn't my name / website listed"" -- please do not email me. I will delete your email and not reply. Come prepared to play or sit on the sidelines and watch (without complaining)

I was in on Friday and it disconnected me. Just added my info in.

Added - here's what should be a better link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FhaZVoxlfsg8NzOtlI1cBByqdMyn-IXPhDdWwwlOdXc/edit

    Are these the same doc?

  • 20.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-05-2012 13:29
Wayne, I made some adjustments and left posted a question for one of the lines.

Just because you're not watching the Super Bowl!

  • 22.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-05-2012 15:36
DIY channel has had the Tolilet Bowl series going all day long. Does that count?

  • 23.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-06-2012 02:07
Please add names and a link to your web site (if you haven't already). I'll send the release end of day Monday.

  • 24.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-06-2012 12:39
Sorry I missed this last week. I just added my information. Is the official name 90 Minds or 90 Minds Consulting Group? I think the press release should be consistent.

  • 25.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-06-2012 12:48
I cleaned up some of the formatting and modified some of the language as well.

  • 26.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-06-2012 13:23
Added Sage HRMS (formerly Sage Abra HRMS) and made a few format changes.

  • 27.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-06-2012 13:27
Yes and I'm going to bring a knife and fork to San Diego so I can cut their meat too...

  • 28.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-06-2012 13:27
I'm thinking that it would be good form to include all attendees if we are including any. Otherwise the attendee list should be stricken as it looks kind of ... weak ... with just six names listed.

  • 29.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-06-2012 13:27
What do we do about the folks that haven't listed their names yet? Can we just add them in? I assume someone has a master list?

  • 30.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-06-2012 13:28
I think by Wayne posting the notice here that it's a snooze you lose situation.

  • 31.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-06-2012 13:28
I may have to crop some info here if the press release service has a word count and link count limit (which I suspect it might)

  • 32.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-06-2012 13:29
Wayne, you could go Mickey Rourke and chew it for them too.

  • 33.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-06-2012 13:32
@JohnShaver - Well... I'm pretty active on the forums and I almost missed it so I'm not sure we should adopt a snooze you lose approach. Especially since it was just posted on Friday! I say crop out the attending members. It reads better without them. And even the agenda / presenters could be summarize by stating what topics will be covered. Amd kill the list of cities and products - point them to 90minds.com - all that stuff is there. I would leave in a shout-out for the sponsors.

  • 34.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-06-2012 13:33
I'm probably going to need to prune similar to how Peter suggests. I'll look at getting it into PR form tonight with a goal of sending it in the morning or Wednesday.

  • 35.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-06-2012 13:36
Wayne - my guy Justin does PR for us all the time and works with quite a few services. Do you want him to do the legwork to post them to the various services? If so, just email him at jbrink@azamba.com and cc me so he knows it's a legit request.

  • 36.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-06-2012 17:26
I just updated and cut out a lot of stuff that I don't think we need in the release. Have a look.

  • 37.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-06-2012 17:36
Made a couple final tweaks. Start the presses...........

  • 38.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-06-2012 19:47
Not bad for a first press release. I think for future ones we should develop a better boilerplate (the section below the press release that defines the organization in three or four sentences.

  • 39.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-07-2012 01:39
Made a small change with Altec. Looks good

  • 40.  RE: Should we press release Meeting of The Minds? I th

    Posted 02-07-2012 02:05
We can still work on the boilerplate. I will send to a few freebies today.
