I would encourage them to broaden their search beyond Shopify. In b2c the considerations are different from b2b, and I know Shopify has some issues. b2c sites have a premium on marketing elements, fast and easy search, flexible cart management, etc. The features that make cimcloud relevant in b2b don't play as much.
BigCommerce.com has made big inroads playing against Shopify and Magento. Your customer should at least listen to the reps from other the firms for their compare/contrast pitches against Shopify.
Have they had a serious discussion about this need with cimcloud? If b2c is secondary, this might well be a better approach.
Integrating to Sage is a consideration, but IMO, secondary ROI Consulting does both Magento and Shopify. Certipro has a significant focus on Magento-Sage 100 integration.
