Crappy would be putting it nicely! Charlotte to Columbia, top speed was 35 MPH, usually only one lane open. Saw three snow plows the entire time. They also enlisted road graders in the clearing process. Just south of Columbia, the SUV in front of me decided to turn right and down the embankment. We called the highway patrol. From Columbia to I95, the roads started clearing, but then you had to avoid the trees that had fallen into the right lane (usually). On 95 south, more rain (at 32 degrees) but then none of the exits had restaurants open as there was no electricity....... I am sure it was a typical day for your northerners....
