Set January 1 of current year as start date in Sage Alerts

    I am trying to do a calculated field in Sage alerts that will give me the YTD value of the GL_Detail postings.  I think that I need to calculate the date range of January 1, CURRENT YEAR to Yesterday.  I can't find syntax to do this.  Any thoughts or suggestions?
