New Install on hosted server. Registration activation is not returning the correct expiration date. I have tried running in MAS90 mode. I have tried my keys. No luck. Activation success is always returned.

IT swears that the firewall settings allow access to the four websites (see attached).

What is interesting is the KB refers to a "download" folder ..\MAS90\Home\Microsoft.NET\Sage100.SLS.Client". I looked on my server and this folder does NOT exist.

Any thoughts before I call tech support for the third time?

Thanks in advance

Nope,

Long session with Matt at Sage tech support. He repaired C++ 2015 - 2022. Shut off Webroot. Session ended without resolution. He ran out of tricks in his bag. Server OS is 2022, Client IT is reviewing options. Maybe new image of server on horizon.

As you know, I am not the IT guy, but...

• Even though IT swears... did you double check by trying to ping or traceroute to the sage servers?
• I also assume that the account running the Sage Services is not restricted by group policy from executing the appropriate commands. Back in the day I know we created service accounts for running the Sage100 Services and gave them tons of local permissions but limited rights to go off server.

It is always important to know what OS user is performing the calls to know what permissions it has. Like does it have permissions to update the local folder with whatever Sage is supposed to be updating?

Presently, installing on a 2019 server. IT created the session. Said I had full rights to the install folders...........

This worked for me. Its not a permanent solution however it is quick and easy and buys you another month.

copy the mas90 folder to a computer outside the users network (like to your laptop at home). Run the registration on your laptop. if it is successful, copy two files back to the customer's live system:

MAS90\MAS_SYSTEM\SY_SYSTEM.M4T
MAS90\Home\Microsoft.NET\Sage100.SLS.Client\download\sls_download_xxxxxxx.xml

Persistence pays off... This just in from Sage.

Jeff,

I just received word that there may have been something off on our cloud portal server for Library Bindings account. Can you try to edit>activate again in library master>system configuration?

Regards,

Matthew

It WORKED this time around. I have asked Matt for clarification as to exactly what the issue was. Maybe this fixes @Doug Higgs issue as well.

Jeff,

One of our product mentors noticed the Sage 100 ERP Service for Lxxxxxx Bxxxxxx was deleted on the Sage Cloud Portal, which may have been part of the cause. They restored the service on Sage Cloud Portal and updated the Sage License Server.

My suggestion to contact the account manager is to see if anything can be done for the time users did not have access to Sage 100 ERP.

Regards,

Matthew

Apparently my client's issue was firewall-related. Even though everything (firewall requirements, etc.) was confirmed with the Sage 100 tech remoted in, it still wasn't working. So I suggested just temporarily opening everything up to allow all traffic, and boom the license is now updated.
