I have a client running SAGE 100 STD v2017 PU#5 and they use the Credit Card Processing (CCP) module. They want to move their SAGE 100 STD from a Windows 2012 R2 server to a Windows 2019 Standard server. Is there anything special I need to be aware of as it relates to Credit Card Processing? Should this move occur like any other SAGE 100 STD move without the CCP module?

    Howdy, Michael!

To clarify, when you say CCP, are you referring to IIG's CCP, Sage/Paya, APS, or some other package?
In the above list, Paya will migrate with upgrade.  The rest will need to be installed and reactivated, but the data should migrate with the rest of the system.  Other packages besides the packages listed you would need to contact the related developer.

The CCP module is the SAGE/Paya Credit Card Processing. We are not planning on upgrading to SAGE 100 v2019 or v2020 at this time. Thanks for your feedback

CC information is stored in the cloud isn't it.  If so, then I wouldn't think it would be a big deal.  Who is the processor?  Paya, APS, someone else?

Are you going to just copy Sage to the new server or are you actually doing an install?  How soon are you moving up the version food chain?  I usually just copy the folders and reinstall the workstation client.  If you do that though, you might want to install the latest PU (6?) before the move.

Jeff, The processor is Paya.  SAGE Knowledgebase Tech Note: #18040 dated 1-31-2020 suggests that for v2013 and above that SAGE software be installed on the new server. Then the data files are copied to the new server using the migration program "migrate.exe" from within the \MAS90\Migration directory. This will launch the Parallel Migration Wizard.

We treat server moves the same as upgrades, and couple them together (when possible) because the upgrade usually adds very little extra work.
